The co-founders are proud to publish WIVI\u2019s interview done by Joaquim Elcacho, journalist from La Vanguardia, one of the most relevant Spanish newspaper, on May 5<sup>th<\/sup> of 2019.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This business initiative was born in 2016 and it is growing thanks to different sources of funding: on one hand by the founders financing and on the other hand, private investment led by a German venture capital and a Spanish company. And they also had received national and international public funding, such as ENISA or SME Instrument phase I from Horizon 2020 of the European Commission and more than 25 awards, for example the <a href=\"https:\/\/wivivision.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/17\/wivi-was-awarded-at-the-eit-health-annual-meeting\/\">Josemi Azkoitia Award from EIT Health<\/a> Headstart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The co-founders really appreciate all the support that they are receiving from all the public statements, large and medium companies, accelerators and universities that are helping them and the national and international recognition as an startup focused on health, technology and social impact sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the interviewer mentions, the solution developed by eHTS is called WIVI and its founders define it as &#8220;a solution with clinical 3D based on artificial intelligence and IBM Watson that provides information to the health proffesional to help in triage or identify and treatment visual dysfunctions and reading skills at an affordable price while you have an engaging visual experience&#8221;, including a personalized plan for each patient and specialist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra, PhD, co-founder and\nOptometrist, explains that \u201c<strong>o<\/strong><strong>ur system focuses on the neuronal\nand psychic areas and it is aimed to assess and solve all those visual\ndysfunctions<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the American Academy of Optometry and British Council, <strong>10% of children have severe visual dysfunction which are<\/strong> <strong>affecting their quality of life as well as their academic and profesional development<\/strong>. \u201cUntil now, 50% are undiagnosed and only 2% of the users are treated due to lack of resources and subjective measures. <strong>WIVI offers to the specialists an objective, real-time, easy, comfortable, fast and engaging solution at an affordable price to work with<\/strong> and get objective results in all the visual areas\u201d stands out Mrs. Eva Garc\u00eda Ramos, CEO and co-founder of eHTS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WIVI\u2019s founders want to thank <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lavanguardia.com\/\">La Vanguardia<\/a> and Joaquim Elcacho for being interested in their company, making visible the relevance of assessment and improvement of visual dysfunctions at early ages and recovering &nbsp;those children to a normal quality of life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can read the complete interview <a href=\"https:\/\/wivivision.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/LVG201905050086EB.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WIVI solution, designed by e-Health Technical Solutions (eHTS), is the first solution to assess and improve children visual dysfunctions.
